Zawsze mam problem ze wskazaniem najlepszej płyty Sabbath z Ozzym. Raz jest to Paranoid innym razem Sabbath Bloody Sabbath albo Masters of Reality. Nigdy natomiast nie brałem pod uwagę Vol.4 chociaż uwielbiam ten album. Nie ma tu w sumie słabego numeru ale czegoś mi brakuje.
Let’s talk about Born Again. Personally I love the album, but it is strange listening to sabbath singing about cars, or singing about your man coming home. Then again on Vol 4. we heard them singing about the dish that ran away with the spoon so I guess it’s not all heavy and doomy. I don’t get the hate Born Again gets.

The transition from Earth to Black Sabbath took place the following year, after Osbourne and Butler penned a song that was inspired by the 1963 Boris Karloff horror film of the same name. The resulting "Black Sabbath," a funereal slab of blast furnace-forged dread built around the augmented fourth/tritonic interval, better known as the devil's

I'm a big Ian Gillan fan, and Born Again has been among my favorite Sabbath albums since I first heard it. I think it's one of the few Sabbath albums in which the vocals truly match the menacing sound of the music. As a Gillan fan, I also found it funny that he had plagiarized himself on "Disturbing the Priest."

"Born Again" marked a significant moment for Black Sabbath as it was the only studio album to feature Ian Gillan, the legendary frontman of Deep Purple, on vocals. The band's lineup for this release included Tony Iommi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass, and Bill Ward on drums. Born Again was released on 12 September 1983 and was a commercial success. It was the highest charting Black Sabbath album in the United Kingdom since Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973), and became an American Top 40 hit. Despite this, it was the first Black Sabbath album to fall short of RIAA certification.

Black Sabbath used a huge Stonehenge set that often didn't fit the venues they played in, whereas Spinal Tap's Stonehenge prop was too small, and "in danger of being crushed by a dwarf." In actuality the concept for this scene was developed in 1982, well before the Sabbath tour in question. .
